Festakt 20 Jahre bilingualer Unterricht an der Universität Klagenfurt, 7A [:en]20 years bilingual education at the university of Klagenfurt, 7A

Am 28.9.2015 besuchte die 7A mit einigen Lehrern des bilingualen Zweigs unserer Schule und Frau Direktor Errath die Feier anlässlich des 20-Jahre Bili Jubiläums. In der Universität Klagenfurt durften wir zusammen mit Schülern des Europagymnasiums Ansprachen aufgelockert von Musik und Videos genießen. Die Vorbereitung und Moderation des Festprogramms erfolgte durch die Koordinatoren der bilingualen Zweige beider Schulen, Frau Prof. Wurm-Smole und Herrn Prof. Siegfried Pfeifer. In ihren Reden würdigten unser Landeshauptmann, Herr Doktor Peter Kaiser und der Präsident des Landesschulrates, Herr Rudolf Altersberger die Leistungen der Lehrer und Schüler und unterstrichen die Wichtigkeit einer internationalen Ausbildung in Kärnten. Im Anschluss daran wurde eine Podiumsdiskussion mit Universitätsprofessoren, den Leitern beider Schulen, Absolventen und Schülern geführt, in deren Verlauf interessante Fragen beantwortet wurden. Abschließend wurde an alle Teilnehmer eine wunderschöne Festschrift überreicht.

[:en]On September 28, the 7a had the opportunity to attend a ceremonial conference extoling 20 years of bilingual education at the BG BRG St. Martin Gymnasium and the Europa Gymnasium. During the bus ride to Klagenfurt, you could tell that everyone was excited and eagerly anticipating what awaited us. Upon arrival we were not disappointed; many important and influential guests from all over Austria had shown up, along with a news crew. The session was kicked off with some beautiful music, played by a student of ours, Leona Rajakowitsch. After this, many speeches, presentations, debates, and even videos were presented to inform us about the history, present, and hopeful future of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning). At the end of this educational assembly we were presented with a delicious buffet, and even received a nice booklet to browse through on the journey home! To conclude, I think it is safe to say that everyone not only had a really enjoyable time, but also learned a lot!
