“The Point“ was an English language online student magazine, which was produced from 2018 to 2021 and funded by the International Bilingual Classes Association. It was written by IBC-students who learned how to publish a magazine and how to establish contacts worldwide. They interviewed international celebrities, organizations, academics and authors and wrote articles in English for an international audience of students (and adults). The magazine also provided the opportunity for developing leadership, teamworking and social skills. The editing team comprised 14 students from the International Bilingual Classes and two bilingual education assistants – first Sylvia Campbell and then Puja Hudelist – as editors in chief. “The Point” was read in countries all around the world. Maybe new students and BEAs will be willing to continue this amazing project in the future?
