How do I know if the IBC stream is right for my child?

If he/she enjoys learning English, is curious and interested in new things then he/she should be well suited to the stream.

My child only knows a little English from primary school. Can he/she still attend the IBC stream?

Of course. Knowledge of the English language is not a prerequisite for attending the IBC stream. The course starts from the beginning.

When and how can I register my child for the IBC stream?

Registration takes place with the semester notification of the 4th grade as well as the annual report of the 3rd grade in the secretary’s office. A registration form must be completed. The registration form and the exact dates of the three-week deadline can be found under “Dates” → “Registration”.

What happens during the admission procedure? Does my child have to prepare for it?

Here you will find all the information about the admission procedure. No special preparation for it is necessary.

How can I find out more about the IBC stream?

The coordinators of the bilingual stream will be happy to answer any additional questions you may have.

The school also offers an information evening every year in January, where you and your child can meet the coordinators, teachers and students of the bilingual stream.

Why does the IBC stream cost anything?

With your IBCA membership fee, you as parents invest in an excellent bilingual education for your children. Apart from paying for the native speakers’ salaries, the cost of textbooks is the most important factor: English-language textbooks, literature and work materials are needed for bilingual education and are not supported by the state textbook campaign.

Here  you will find a list of all services covered by your membership fee.
