Religion

The aim of religious education in the state school system is to develop the ability to judge the ethics of relevant themes and problems in today’s society.

At our school, religious instruction is divided along denominational lines, although great emphasis is placed on ecumenical cooperation between religions.

Ecumenical activities include inter-religious collaboration and projects, school church services and activities on Peace Day.

Apart from study and discussion of traditions and history within each denominational group, the following points are also of importance:

  •  accompanying and supporting each individual student in their own personal development
  •  variety and creativity as an integral aspect of religious education
  •  development of social competence for humane cohabitation in peace and justice
